Firefox 115 Beta released with Cookie Banner Reduction and other improvements

Mozilla has released the latest version of its Mozilla Firefox web browser, Firefox 115 Beta, with exciting new features and bug fixes. The update is expected to improve user experience and make browsing smoother.

One of the key features of Firefox 115 Beta is the Cookie Banner Reduction, which was initially planned to be shipped with Firefox 114 but was postponed for some reason. The feature will automatically reject cookie requests on cookie banners on supported websites, similar to the Consent-O-Matic browser extension. This feature is implemented in the Privacy & Security panel in the settings of the browser.

Firefox 115 Beta also brings hardware video decoding enabled for Intel GPUs on Linux, which will improve video playback performance on Linux-based systems. Users can also import payment methods from Chrome to Firefox, making switching between browsers more convenient.

Another new feature in Firefox 115 Beta is the addition of a new close button in the Tab Manager dropdown to close tabs more quickly. This will make it easier for users to manage their tabs and save time when browsing. The new version of Firefox also comes with a fix for the Windows Magnifier, which previously did not follow the text cursor correctly when the Firefox title bar was visible.
