JetBrains unveils Fleet 1.21: A next-generation IDE with enhanced Git integration and improved performance

JetBrains, the software development company, has unveiled a new update to JetBrains Fleet, their next-generation integrated development environment (IDE). Leveraging the IntelliJ code-processing engine, Fleet introduces a distributed IDE architecture alongside a reimagined user interface.

The recent release, Fleet 1.21, brings several improvements and enhancements. Among these are notable advancements in Git integration and overall performance. These updates are part of JetBrains' ongoing efforts to refine Fleet as it edges closer to a public release.

In addition to these enhancements, JetBrains has been addressing a series of bugs and implementing key updates. The company is also making strides with plugins support and the development of a plugins API. While this feature is still under development, the list of installed (bundled) plugins is now accessible to all users. To view this list, simply select “Plugins” from the Actions menu.
