WhatsApp enhances 'Pin Messages' feature, allowing users to pin up to three messages

WhatsApp has expanded its previously launched 'Pin messages' feature, enabling users to pin up to three messages in a chat, an upgrade from the previous limit of one pinned message. This new feature allows users to pin different types of messages such as text, images, and polls, making it easier to access important information within conversations.

Users can pin a message by long-pressing on the message and selecting the "Pin" option from the menu. The feature also allows users to set the duration for which a message remains pinned, with options ranging from 24 hours to 30 days. After the selected duration, the system automatically unpins the messages, helping to keep conversations tidy and clutter-free.

Unlike the "Star" message option, which allows long-term access, pinned messages are a time-bound solution, requiring users to re-pin important information periodically. The default duration for pinned messages is 7 days, but users can adjust this timeframe based on their needs.
