Lutris 0.5.17 brings several critical bug fixes, library syncing, and new game runners
Lutris, the popular open source gaming platform, has launched its 0.5.17 version, introducing a range of critical bug fixes and enhancements. The update addresses a critical bug that obstructed completion of installs if the script specified a Wine version. It also rectifies a bug that hindered Steam library sync and another one that prevented game or runner uninstall in Flatpak.
The 0.5.17 version of Lutris now supports library sync to Lutris.net, facilitating synchronization of games, play time, and categories across multiple devices. The update also introduces improved sorting for games, support for the “Categories” command when multiple games are selected, and an enhanced error dialog.
Lutris 0.5.17 debuts new runners for Vita3k, a PS Vita emulator, and Supermodel, a Sega Model 3 arcade emulator. The version also provides experimental support for UMU, enabling games to run with Proton and Vessel, as Lutris has ceased support for Proton without the use of UMU.
The 0.5.17 update also incorporates several other minor improvements and bug fixes, further refining the user experience.
