YouTube 'Playables' free games are now available to all users without premium subscription
YouTube is expanding its new feature, "Playables," to all users. This collection of lightweight, free games can be accessed within the YouTube app and on the Home page. Initially, Playables were exclusive to select users and YouTube Premium subscribers since last November.
To access Playables, users can visit YouTube’s website or use the Android/iOS app and look for Playables in the sidebar, where you can save your progress and track high scores. The Playables catalog features popular titles like Angry Birds Showdown, Words of Wonders, Cut the Rope, Tomb of the Mask, and Trivia Crack. With over 75 mini-games available.
Currently, Google has no plans to monetize Playables through advertisements, although this could change. The primary goal is to keep users engaged between browsing and viewing sessions. The rollout will be completed in the coming weeks, though not all users will see it immediately.
