Windsurf has upgraded its free tier with more credits, premium features, and a new logo

Windsurf has revamped its Free plan, enhancing features and introducing a new brand identity. Free users now enjoy an increased allocation of 25 prompt credits per month for premium model usage, up from the previous 5. These credits can be used with models like GPT-4.1 and o4-mini at a reduced rate, allowing for up to 100 prompts each month.

Additionally, Free users have unlimited access to the Cascade Base model in Write mode, providing an extensive agentic experience. The update also includes unlimited Fast Tab completions, which encompass features like autocomplete and tab-to-import, along with unlimited Previews and one Deploy per day. Premium users will be receiving more credits and prioritized access during peak times

The update is also marked by a new logo featuring a wave and "W" design, aligning with the brand’s recent adoption of the "Windsurf" name and the unification of the former Codeium identity.
