Spotify introduces Audiobooks+ for Family and Duo members across more regions

Spotify has launched two new audiobook plans for Premium Family and Duo subscribers in the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein, following earlier tests in Ireland and Canada.

The Audiobooks+ plan lets Premium users including Family and Duo plan managers add 15 extra hours to the standard 15-hour monthly allowance, totaling 30 hours of audiobook listening. The new Audiobooks+ for Plan Members option gives individual Family or Duo plan members their own 15 hours per month, expanding access beyond just the main account holder.

To use the feature, members must request access from their plan manager, who purchases the add-on. If needed, users can also buy a one-time 10-hour top-up. Spotify says similar features will be introduced in the US soon.
