Microsoft has made the Xbox app compatible with ARM-based Windows 11 PCs

The Xbox app has launched for all ARM-based Windows 11 PCs, giving users immediate access to Microsoft’s game platform on next-generation devices. Following this release, over 85% of the Game Pass catalog is now compatible for download and play on ARM-based systems, broadening the available game selection for players.

While native support expands, Xbox Cloud Gaming remains available for titles not yet supported on ARM hardware. This service allows players to access additional games while Microsoft and its partners work to increase local compatibility. Prism, the ARM emulator for x86 and x64 applications, now adds support for Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX and AVX2), helping further expand the range of modern titles that can run on these devices.

In addition, games that require Epic Anti-Cheat, including popular releases such as Gears of War: Reloaded and Fortnite, are now supported on ARM-based PCs. Building on these technical improvements, Windows Performance Fit provides users with hardware-specific guidance, aiding their decisions about which titles should deliver a good gameplay experience. Microsoft will continue collaborating with partners to bring even more titles to ARM devices in the future.
