It is, by far, the very cleanest, fastest, nicest accounting alternative to something like Quickbooks. I was really hoping to be able to throw away Quickbooks online right away after install, but it turns out that RBC (Royal Bank) in canada only handles quicken, simply accounting, .csv formats. Probably I could get something like that to work (.csv) but I'm way too busy running a business to do that . They have an OFX app, but I was hoping for a QIF app which would allow a direct connection to my bank.

So, unless I'm missing something, I will have to stay with Quickbooks online until this progresses enough to synchronize with my bank the way I need.

If you are not too far along and you can develop a little, this would be well worth it. Surely there would be countless thousands of people like me who would be willing to pay $25 for an app that allows integration in bank.

In short, this project has a lot of potential and I will be monitoring it daily and as soon as I can connect to my bank I'll make the switch. Good work folks.

It's really good but absolutely not full-featured in the free version ! Don't be fooled, importing from a bank account is supported but paid !

Used it for years, but since version 3 features which were free in the past are getting moved behind a paywall. Was good in the past, but not now anymore.

There are some really great features you can use in the self-hosted (free) option. You can create customers and invoices, vendors and bills, you can create bank accounts and populate them with transactions manually, and also run some very nice basic reports. However, the self-hosted software quickly becomes severely hamstrung by paywalled features, like bank connectivity, payment processors, inventory, employees and almost anything else. I wanted to love this project, but I think you are going to find something like QuickBooks will be less expensive in the end if you need more features.

I tried to use it for 3 months, I was unable to adapt, it lacks features, it lacks community support. So don't waste your time

Used it in the past. But for some reason a) each applied update corrupts the database and b) always crashes when using

The platform is free but most of the necessary plugins cost a yearly fee.

If you do not want updates, you don't need to keep plugins/apps subscription and use them forever
