What is Athens?
The problem with notetaking apps like Evernote or Apple Notes is that once you write a note, after a week you never look at it again. Without any organization, you're stuck praying that search will work for your future self. On the other hand, creating and following a system requires way too much discipline.
Athens lets you take notes with minimal systems, structure, and organization, freeing you to stay creative and in flow state. Athens does this with [[bidirectional links]], ((block references)), and a graph database.

Comments and Reviews
I love their community, their user interface and of course, the fact that they're open source.
Looks good for notes.
An open-source project that everyone can contribute. Privately hosted app suitable for professional usage.
Transparent, values-driven organization building a powerful knowledge tool
It's a great open source software, improving very fast and with a reactive and nice community. Short term it may become soon the strongest alternative to Roam Research Long term the team has a very empowering vision for real-time collaboration and decentralized inter-connected knowledge graphs that would be impossible for closed models to achieve. Give it a try !
