What is Readup?
Readup is a social reading platform that works through a mobile app or web extension. Save articles from anywhere on the web and read them anytime on Readup.
Readup tracks your reading progress, so that you can continue where you left off. By anonymously combining data of all verified completed reads, Readup can also transparently recommend the most-read and most-discussed articles by its Readers. Every day, an Article of the Day (AOTD) is nominated. Readup has no filter bubbles, everyone sees the same article recommendations!
You can discover articles for free. To read inside the Readup platform however, a subscription is required (pay-what-you-want, but at least 5$). Readup shares 90% of its revenue with the writers of the articles read by the reading community.
Follow other interesting readers and discuss together, knowing for certain that all commenters must have read the article before they can comment. This wards off a lot of toxicity from the platform. You can also share what you read with the Twitter integration, and start a discussion!

Comments and Reviews
I've been using Readup for more than a year now. I love it because I can keep track of my reading, and see stats like total reading time. And like Pocket, I can import anything from the web.
The articles that are recommended are often really good, and you can see why they are recommended (you can see how many people read them, and what ratings they gave).
People are also just generally nice in the comments, I think it's because they have to read the articles to completion first. That makes it harder for hotheads to enter. Here is my profile as an example, there are some nice discussions there https://readup.com/@thorgalle
I'm only wishing for Android support (not there yet), but on browsers it works great!
