If you're a fan of puzzles, make sure you check this collection out. I once bought a puzzle book with 1001 puzzles, and a lot of them were ones I recognise in this collection. There's bound to be at least one or two puzzles that will catch your fancy. For me, they were Untangle and Net. I often play them during down time in between classes.
Each puzzle has instructions on how to play and how to use the interface.
The games load very quickly and are responsive.
Basically, it is a fun way to pass time.

This collection is available on nearly every platform on the planet, because they kept the programming simple, to make it easy to adapt to new platforms. That's why it has outlasted EVERY other puzzle game on the planet.
I've been playing it for over 20 years now, and I'm just now thinking about looking to see if there are any other interesting options out there to match it.
This title ought to have the most 5-star reviews of any title on AlternativeTo. It's a testament that only 7 people (8 now) in the history of time have ever gone looking for an alternative to it. ;)
Fun Fact: The collection was started decade's ago by the same man that created PuTTY
