    Reddit is awful. It's not even a conspiracy theroy that they make the desktop experience horrible to push people towards the app. It's a common thing in the tech world and it's a sad fact. Software engineers internally have tried opposing it to no prevail. Many eventually quit.

    You don't need Reddit's horrible official experience to use Reddit. :) There are apps to automatically redirect you to alternative front-ends.
