The Daily Election

The Daily Election believes that some questions matter more than others, yet online news services think people only want to discuss the trivial, being more interested in Kim's posterior and Kate's baby outfit than important world events.

What is The Daily Election?

The Daily Election believes that some questions matter more than others, yet online news services think people only want to discuss the trivial, being more interested in Kim's posterior and Kate's baby outfit than important world events.

The comments sections of online newspapers and forums have become a pastiche of their readership. Liberals only get the opportunity to debate with liberals, mums with mums, students with students, greens with greens and business leaders with other business leaders. Often the agenda is set by the news service or forum itself.

The Daily Election challenges this by posing a single question each day relating to an important global, current affairs topic. The Daily Election is an unmoderated open forum and promotes no agenda. The app invites people of all ages, interest groups, economic demographics and varying opinion to vote on the topic and then take part in serious debate on subjects that really matter.
