Bluesky adds video sharing to the platform with subtitles and autoplay options

Bluesky has introduced the ability to share videos on its platform, a much-anticipated feature. Users can now include one video per post, with each video being up to 60 seconds long. Supported video formats include .mp4, .mpeg, .webm, and .mov. By default, videos will autoplay, though this can be turned off in settings. Subtitles can also be attached to videos.

Users can upload up to 25 videos or 10 GB of video per day. Videos can be labeled, for instance, to mark adult content. All videos are processed via Hive and Thorn to scan for content warnings or removal needs. When a post containing a video is deleted, the video is immediately removed and the data is purged shortly thereafter.

To start watching videos on Bluesky, update to version 1.91 of the mobile app or refresh your desktop browser. The rollout of the video posting feature is being done gradually to ensure a smooth experience.

is it support dark mode?

XarBuXar

It has a dark theme but doesn't affect web contents. If I want to get dark mode in Android, I'll set the negative color in Accessibility. Therefore, I don't need to set every APP into dark mode again and again. BTW, maybe Accessibility shortcut is available. This can switch between negative and normal color easily.
