Snapchat Lens Studio 5.10 adds Bitmoji game tools and new social play features

Snapchat has launched Lens Studio 5.10 with new tools for developers to build Bitmoji-based AR games. The update includes a turn-based gameplay system that lets users exchange game moves with friends, and a customizable Character Controller that supports various perspectives like first-person, side-scroller, and top-down. The leaderboard has also been improved with updated templates, a hybrid global/friends score view, and new friend-related stats.

The release also includes the Bitmoji Suite, which allows creators to design custom outfits, generate props, and animate avatars using Snap’s animation tools. These features give developers more flexibility in personalizing and enhancing the Bitmoji experience in games.

Snapchat has also rolled out a curated collection of Bitmoji Game Lenses, including titles like Bitmoji Bistro and Bitmoji Blast. To drive adoption, developers can join the Bitmojiverse Challenge for a chance to win cash prizes by incorporating the new tools and assets into their games.
