Redis 8.8 delivers a major update with a new general-purpose array data structure, enabling flexible, high-performance storage and aggregation.

The release brings up to 83% throughput improvements for core commands and accelerates persistence and replication by up to 60%.

A new built-in window counter rate limiter removes reliance on scripting for rate control and includes boundary enforcement and partial acceptance.

Additional features include stream message NACKing and subkey notifications for hash fields.
