I created this because Audible removed their desktop player (and I really hate browser based players)' and is an app in the news & books category. There are more than 10 alternatives to Audibly for a variety of platforms, including Android, iPhone, Android Tablet, iPad and F-Droid apps. The best Audibly alternative is Voice, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like Audibly are Audible, Smart AudioBook Player, VoiceIncome and Cozy Player.
