Bintracker is described as 'Advanced, cross-platform chiptune music editor. Bintracker supports many different sound routines on a wide range of 8-bit and 16-bit systems as it uses Mame as an emulation backend. So you can compose for SID, AY, FM, Beeper' and is an app in the audio & music category. There are more than 25 alternatives to Bintracker for a variety of platforms, including Windows, Mac, Linux, Web-based and iPad apps.
