    EU (French) company, helping build the European Search Perspective (search index). Good UI, and decent search results, although for some really power user specific searches it can sometimes be found a bit lacking. That's rare enough though that I find it a suitable replacement for Google search as a daily driver.

    Works without javascript. One just have to find a good instance and tune it a bit. All instances have occasional outages but then you can blame google (again!)...
