What is Quilingo?

Quilingo is a language learning platform that uses the diglot weave method to gradually introduce foreign words and phrases into full-length stories written in the user's native language. It features human-authored stories, each 40,000 to 55,000 words long, with light-hearted and humorous content to keep users engaged. Translations are done by human translators. Users can control the pace of learning by selecting the percentage of foreign text on each page, from 10% to 100%.

As users read, the platform tracks vocabulary across all stories, providing real usage examples from the stories. Each new word is linked to the sentences where it was first used. The platform supports language pairs including American English with Castilian Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian, with more pairs in development. Quilingo's features include adjustable difficulty levels, inline hints, vocabulary tracking with contextual examples, bilingual reading mode, and the ability to manage learning directly from the text.
