What is Winpinator?
Winpinator is an independent Windows adaptation of Warpinator, developed from the ground up in C++.
Designed for seamless integration into the Windows environment, Winpinator supports drag-and-drop functionality and is accessible via the "Send to" option in Windows Explorer’s context menu.
It implements the same gRPC-based communication protocol as its Linux counterpart and utilizes zeroconf/mDNS for service discovery. However, due to differences in Windows’ filesystem structure, certain Warpinator functionalities, such as transferring file permissions, need to be emulated.
