    Zoom is ad-hoc video conferencing without requiring participants to register. In Discord every participant needs to be registered to the server beforehand which is mostly a chat and voice service for gamers, less a video-conferencing solution.

    Zoom keeps getting worst and can close any day. Jami instead keeps getting better and as a GPLed software anybody can improve it and develop it. There's no central point of failure. You have E2E encryption and full control over video and audio quality (also JACK is implemented).
