Google now includes Gemini AI in Workspace plans, along with a price increase

Google has fully integrated its Google Gemini AI features into its Google Workspace Business and Enterprise plans, eliminating the need for separate paid add-ons. Previously, businesses paid extra for Gemini Business or Enterprise access, but now these AI tools are embedded across Workspace apps like Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Docs.

This integration includes AI-assisted writing, enhanced smart features, and image creation, among others. Additionally, advanced tools such as Google Vids and Gemini Notebook Plus with team sharing will be available to business users. Even the Business Starter plan will offer limited Gemini access, despite its lower storage capacity.

As part of this update, all Workspace tiers will see a price increase of about $2 per month per user, with new customers getting immediate access and existing customers seeing changes from March 2025. Enterprise customers will start integration at the end of the month, while very small businesses and certain account types remain unaffected. Google emphasizes the importance of AI in productivity and assures users that their data will remain private and not be used for training Gemini models without consent.
