The thing with this otherwise good piece of software is the fact that it's not properly described on its homepage, since it turns out to be nagware, requiring a donation in order to remove occasional nagging dialog windows and watermark on the desktop wallpaper. Author himself doesn't consider his own work as "nagware", as he stated here, which sounds like making excuses and deliberately avoiding of advertising the software as such. The most annoying thing here is that there are no real alternatives yet (aside of UxStyle, and other theme patchers, but these have slightly different application, since they just enable using any theme, without requirement of being signed by Microsoft), and such software, which uses very invasive method of working (library function hooks) SHOULD be released as Free Software. I hope it's just a matter of time until open sourced alternatives start to appear. Nag window in all its glory

I am a gamer and this pop-up window appeared at the most unexpected moments, and I died some times. I am going to uninstall it, but before that I would like to say - think twice before installing it. It behaves as NAGWARE!

The utility is completely integrated into Desktop Window Manager without breaking any system protection or modifying system files. All rendering is done via native Direct3D device. Any colorization settings adjusted in Windows Control Panels are respected. Use color intensity slider to adjust the amount of the transparency.

No custom skinning engine used. Due to the native nature of this utility your Windows theme is composited together with the glass effect. All features controlled through DWM API (e.g. DwmEnableBlurBehindWindow or DwmExtendFrameIntoClientArea) are supported including the taskbar or custom Start menu blur effect.
