There are many alternatives to AIMP for Windows if you are looking for a replacement. The best open source Windows alternative is MPV. If that doesn't suit you, our users have ranked more than 100 alternatives to AIMP and loads of them are open source and available for Windows so hopefully you can find a suitable replacement. Other interesting open source Windows alternatives to AIMP are Audacious, Clementine, Strawberry and SMPlayer.

Lightweight open-source audio player for Unix-like platforms focused on high sound quality, extensive codec support, playlist handling, Internet radio, plugins, Winamp-style skins, cue sheets, metadata display, effects, equalizer, and efficient resource usage.

It doesn't have the same features from AIMP and it looks more like an alternative for Winamp than an alternative for AIMP.
It has a lot of customization and works similarly to AIMP, and it is very good for editing metadata. One minor issue, it doesn't support editing metadata for opus files, which for me personally is a deal breaker, but probably isn't for most.

Clementine is a cross-platform free and open source music player and library organizer. It is a port of Amarok 1.4 to the Qt 4 framework and the GStreamer multimedia framework, focusing on a fast and easy-to-use interface for searching and...

Very simple and light with great playlist functionalities
Clementine looks ugly and dated. It doesn't have a variety of themes for the GUI (skins), for the icons, plugins, color changing, there's no complex equalizer, no sound effects and audio convertion like AIMP. It lacks a lot of things and shouldn't be compared to AIMP.
Is very dated and does not have half of the functionalities. also kinda ugly tbh

Strawberry is a music player and music collection organizer. It is a fork of Clementine released in 2018 aimed at music collectors and audiophiles. The name is inspired by the band Strawbs. It's written in C++ using the Qt framework.

The actual fork of Clementine that is still maintened!
Strawberry is a really good alternative for AIMP, with similar ability to edit metadata and organize music. It does not have an audio converter or support for live lyrics, though.
really great software. proper fork of clementine that's kept up with the test of time

SMPlayer intends to be a complete front-end for MPlayer, from basic features like playing videos, DVDs, and VCDs to more advanced features like support for MPlayer filters and more. SMPlayer remembers the settings of all files you play.

DeaDBeeF is a lightweight graphical music player created for easy playback of music and management of playlists. It supports major audio codecs and tags, global hotkeys, gapless playback, streaming audio, command line control, and has an 18-band equalizer.

DeaDBeeF is a great alternative to AIMP because it supports the classical Winamp/AIMP narrow vertical interface. It is also extremely lightweight and consumes very little CPU. Add to that the fact that you can fully control the interface layout: do you need a visualization? where do you want your track progress bar? do you want an extra button for any of the player's functions? do you want do rename any and all visible elements of the interface? DeaDBeeF is the answer!
One of the very few (or the only) player for Linux that supports the same narrow vertical layout, with a window-wide progress bar.

Podcast player supporting streaming and downloads, advanced search, cross-device 'Up Next', improved discovery, playback effects, and offline listening essentials.

Media Player Classic - Black Edition (MPC-BE) is a fork of MPC and MPC-HC. It moved away from MPC's aim to mimic the look and feel of Windows Media Player with updated player controls and provides additional features on top of MPC-HC such as a video preview tooltip when...

Media Player Classic was designed to look just like Windows Media Player 6.4, but with many additional new features. It has a built in DVD player with real-time zoom, support for AVI subtitles, QuickTime and RealVideo support and built-in...

video player not audio player

Wora is a beautiful player for audiophiles (pun intended). An open-source lossless music player app that lets you organize and play your favorite tracks seamlessly.

Looks nice, but has no tag editing support.

A extensible Music player with Podcast support, web radio, playlists and many more. As it is written in Python, writing new plug-ins is really easy.

OpenSource software. Expandable player with support for different visual styles.
