It doesn't have the same features from AIMP and it looks more like an alternative for Winamp than an alternative for AIMP.

It has a lot of customization and works similarly to AIMP, and it is very good for editing metadata. One minor issue, it doesn't support editing metadata for opus files, which for me personally is a deal breaker, but probably isn't for most.

Clementine looks ugly and dated. It doesn't have a variety of themes for the GUI (skins), for the icons, plugins, color changing, there's no complex equalizer, no sound effects and audio convertion like AIMP. It lacks a lot of things and shouldn't be compared to AIMP.

Strawberry is a really good alternative for AIMP, with similar ability to edit metadata and organize music. It does not have an audio converter or support for live lyrics, though.

DeaDBeeF is a great alternative to AIMP because it supports the classical Winamp/AIMP narrow vertical interface. It is also extremely lightweight and consumes very little CPU. Add to that the fact that you can fully control the interface layout: do you need a visualization? where do you want your track progress bar? do you want an extra button for any of the player's functions? do you want do rename any and all visible elements of the interface? DeaDBeeF is the answer!

One of the very few (or the only) player for Linux that supports the same narrow vertical layout, with a window-wide progress bar.
