What is ApplyW?

ApplyW (Apply Wisely) is a free Chrome extension that cleans up LinkedIn's job search results page, directly in the browser.

It adds controls LinkedIn doesn't offer:

  • Hide any job with one click — it stays hidden across reloads
  • Block a company — every listing from them disappears immediately and from then on
  • Keyword filter — show only listings whose title or description contains words you choose, or hide the ones that contain words you don't
  • Language filter — see only listings written in languages you actually read, detected locally from the real job description rather than guessed
  • Hide Applied / Hide Viewed toggles, added right next to LinkedIn's own filters
  • A hidden jobs list and a blocked companies list, so anything can be brought back
  • Metrics — see which filter is hiding the most, with a per-keyword breakdown

Everything runs locally: no account, no server, no data leaving the browser. Filters re-apply automatically while scrolling, so there's no repeated setup. The extension is open source (MIT).
