Audiout

On a Mac, only Apple's own Music and TV apps can send audio to more than one AirPlay speaker. Everything else, Spotify, YouTube, a game, reaches one output at a time. Audiout removes that limit.

It sits in the menu bar as a mixer for the house. Pick any set of AirPlay, Bluetooth or Chromecast speakers and everything the Mac plays comes out of all of them in sync. Each room gets a fader. Each app can be routed and leveled on its own, so the music goes to the kitchen while the call stays on the Mac. Scenes save speaker sets for one-click recall, and each speaker has a ten-band equalizer. A Bluetooth speaker that plays behind the rest can be held in time by an offset you set by ear on the Mac, or measure with the free iPhone companion app when it lands on the App Store.

Audio never leaves your Wi-Fi network. Usage statistics are opt-in. The source is public on GitHub under GPL-2.0; the paid product is the signed, notarized, maintained build.
