Bibliome

Bibliome turns folders of PDFs and other documents into an organized, searchable library without moving or renaming a file. A language model that ships inside the app files every document by subject, using categories learned from your own collection. Search works by exact words or by meaning, and Ask Your Library answers a question from your own documents and cites the passages it used.

OCR makes scanned documents searchable. Redaction rasterizes the page, so text is removed rather than covered, and it can find personal information first. Page tools reorder, rotate and fix pages, and it compresses PDFs and converts Word documents. Besides PDFs it reads Word, OpenDocument, Excel, Rich Text, Markdown and plain text files, and it imports an Evernote export, attachments included.

The app ships without the network entitlement, so macOS does not let it open a connection. There is no account, no server and no analytics. Optional iCloud sync runs inside your own Apple account.

One purchase, no subscription. Requires an Apple silicon Mac and macOS 14 or later. A free iPhone and iPad companion reads and files into the same library.
