Your food log lives on your device; there is no account, no BiteDeck server, and no ads, which is why logging, food search, and forecasting all work offline.

The free tier covers calorie and macro logging, search across 151,700 foods and 282 restaurant chains, barcode scanning, nutrition-label OCR, two-way Apple Health sync, intermittent fasting timers (16:8, 18:6, 20:4, OMAD), weight tracking with on-device forecasting, body-fat tracking with 4 methods, micros, streaks and badges, widgets, an Apple Watch app, and CSV/PDF export. Premium adds AI Photo Scan, AI Coach, Plate Check, and voice logging; the AI features are the one thing that sends data off-device, and only the image or question being processed. Requires iOS 17 or later.
