BoogieBox information
What is BoogieBox?
BoogieBox is a self-hosted music library app that lets you own your listening experience — no subscriptions, no cloud, no nonsense. Point it at your music folders and it'll scan, organize, and index everything automatically, pulling in artwork, lyrics, and artist info along the way.
The real star of the show is BoogieMix — an AI-powered DJ engine that generates seamless mixes from your own library. It analyzes your tracks deeply: BPM, energy levels, musical structure, intro/outro points, and transition zones. Then it picks the right songs in the right order, finds the perfect crossfade moments, and blends them together like an actual DJ would. You can dial in mix length, energy flow, and genre feel, and let it do its thing.
Beyond mixing, you get:
A clean, fast music browser with search, playlists, and queue management Smart crossfade between any tracks, not just BoogieMix ones Waveform display for every track BPM and deep audio analysis DLNA support so you can stream to compatible speakers and TVs on your network Mobile-friendly UI so you can control playback from your phone Lyrics display, Discogs/Deezer/Spotify metadata enrichment Scheduled library scans It's the kind of app you set up once on a home server and forget about — except you won't forget about it, because you'll be using it every day.
