Boost Memory Cleaner

Most Mac cleaners work by showing you a large number and offering to make it smaller. Usually that number is cached memory, which macOS is already using well, so making it smaller makes the Mac slower.

Boost is built the other way round. Free Memory asks macOS for memory using Apple's own memory_pressure tool, watches swap while it runs, and stops early if swap starts growing, because paging to disk costs more than the reclaim is worth. It never closes apps and never needs your admin password unless you opt into the optional disk cache purge.

Pause SIGSTOPs an app and every helper it spawned; zero CPU, state kept in place, fully reversible with Resume All.

The disk cleaner only touches caches the owning tool will rebuild (Homebrew, npm, pip, Cargo, Xcode DerivedData, and similar), never Downloads, never node_modules, never iOS backups. Every deletion is checked against the resolved path immediately beforehand, so a symlink can't be used to point the cleaner at real files.

Open source (GPL-3.0), builds with Command Line Tools alone, no telemetry, no network access of any kind.
