What is Callulu?

Callulu puts eight quiet visual cues in the Mac menu bar: a flash to start, a dimming of everything but the centre of the screen, a light that passes along the edge, a breathing guide, and a softening of the whole screen to end the day.

Each cue has one job, shown under its name in the menu: LIGHTNING to begin, SHADE to focus, LUNA to finish, and five more in between.

Every cue can be switched off on its own, and one switch turns all of them off. Effect strength, colour and screen position are adjustable. Cues can also be triggered from other apps through a callulu:// link.

Settings stay on the Mac. The direct download is $14.99 once; the Mac App Store edition is free for 14 days, then $3.99 once. Requires macOS 13 or later, Apple silicon and Intel.
