No account. No server. Your recipes live on your phone, and you can take them
with you.
Cookin imports the recipes you already have. Point it at a Paprika export and it
reads your library, it also takes plain recipe JSON, so moving in doesn't mean
retyping years of collecting. Export everything back out whenever you want.
Send it a TikTok, an Instagram or YouTube video, a link, a photo of a cookbook
page, or a PDF, and it comes back as a structured recipe: ingredients, steps,
times and servings. No scrolling past someone's life story to reach the
ingredients.
The AI runs on your phone rather than on a server. Make a recipe healthier, find
a substitute for a missing ingredient, generate one from a few words, or ask
questions about your own collection. Tell it your allergies once and it
remembers. All of it works in airplane mode.
Cooking from it is the point. The screen stays awake, timers sit inline in the
steps, and if you're cooking for six instead of four the amounts rescale
themselves. Recipes group into cookbooks with tags and ratings, and search
handles things like "chicken without peanuts".
Ingredients go to the grocery list in one tap, where duplicates merge and
everything sorts by aisle. The pantry tracks what you have, shows what you can
cook with it, and warns you before food expires.
