A recipe sized to the household: Beef Tacos for about 5.1 adult portions, so every amount follows (11 shells, 1¼ lb ground beef).

What is DinnerCount?

DinnerCount is a family cookbook and meal planner that sizes dinner to who's actually eating tonight. Set each person's appetite once — a big teenager, a small child — then tap who's home, and the recipe's amounts and the shopping list follow. It comes with 260 recipes, every one with its picture, one shopping list for the week grouped by aisle, and a step-by-step cook mode with timers. You can type or paste in your own recipes and add your own photo to each one. It's a web app: it works on anything with a browser and installs to your phone's home screen. Free on one device, with forty of the recipes open to read. The full version is one price, once: $17.99 founding price through October 21, then $24.99, for every device in your home (up to ten signed in at once). Nothing renews, and there are no ads.
