What is DMXDesktop?

DMXDesktop is professional DMX lighting control software for Windows and macOS designed for DJs, live performers, bands, venues and lighting operators.

It combines traditional lighting programming with real-time music synchronisation and automated show control. Users can control conventional fixtures, moving heads, pixels, lasers and other DMX equipment through USB DMX interfaces or network protocols including Art-Net and sACN.

DMXDesktop includes a visual programmer, effects engine, cue and show control, audio-reactive effects, DJ integrations, MIDI and OSC control, and a built-in 3D visualizer.

DJ Mode can synchronise lighting with supported DJ software including VirtualDJ and Traktor, while audio-driven effects can react to live audio and detected BPM without requiring pre-programmed timelines.

DMXDesktop supports unlimitted DMX universes depending on the licence and hardware, and works with a range of USB DMX and network interfaces.

It is intended to provide an easier workflow than traditional lighting-console software while still offering advanced programming capabilities for larger shows.
