dn42 is a big dynamic VPN, which employs Internet technologies (BGP, whois database, DNS, etc). Participants connect to each other using network tunnels (GRE, OpenVPN, Tinc, IPsec) and exchange routes thanks to the Border Gateway Protocol.

It's a great way to connect with hackers and other peers, and is also ideal for learning networking.
I love the dn42. It's a perfect opportunity to try out networking and routing technologies. Furthermore, it is not as strict as the Clearnet. In addition, you can use different software/hardware (be it bird, frr or VyOS for routing and IXPs, WireGuard, OpenVPN, QuickTun or Tinc for the links).
From the website i am unsure if it has a GUI or what is a real world use and also contact is missing. I am not using IRC.
Depending on which BGP daemon and VPN service you use, there may also be a GUI.
