Easy Youtube Video Downloader Express

I really am unsure how to describe it, the extension presents itself in a, somewhat silly, a bit over the top performatively professional manner (at least to me), the ui/notification pages are often crammed with elements, which isn't bad per say it's just what I personally associate with the kind of things you'd see in an ad on a gambling site

rarely there's inconsistent behavior, sometimes you get feedback on the download and sometimes not, depending on where you click

its behavior changes over time, random ui breakage or download failures than then get spontaniously fixed like a day later or even on the same day, often unannounced which may have been youtube intentionally or not breaking the extension (or my own fault tbh)

to put it briefly, its presentation gives "overly cheery indian tech support scammer", that combined with it being proprietary (I am generously assuming this is so youtube can't directly look into its code and break it based on that) can definitely tick people off

But the extension works very well in my experience and the free version in my opinion is enough for most people.

According to the update screen it's been maintained for "14+ years", if it existed for that long amount of time, it's probably safe to use.

I definitely recommend giving it a go however!

Unfortunately the free version of this plugin doesn't allow to download HD videos and MP3 so it is quite useless for me.
