Program relatively simple to use for a novice, however, could not successfully configure email to send outgoing mail. Installed software on Windows 7 and SMTP server would not connect after numerous efforts using gmail, hotmail and yahoo.

What is Eldy?

The browser Eldy is a software developed by a project which aims to approach elderly and who is not familiar with Internet and computer to use the great network so as to reduce the "social digital divide."

Eldy is a full and easy to use browser, produced in cooperation with the wider community EldyNet. The software is designed so that each part is perfectly usable by inexperienced users. For example, the browser uses large fonts and icons, easily viewable by everyone.

What can be done with Eldy? Besides surfing, there is the possibility of using a simple and easy e-mail client, even using Skype, a virtual notebook, and join a community of social called "Square", where elder people can discuss among themselves.
