What is Euphoria?

Euphoria is a free iOS and Android app for playing and creating AI-powered interactive stories. Instead of picking from a few pre-written options, you type whatever you want your character to do or say, and the AI writes the next scene around it. Every scene is illustrated, and your own character and outfits are drawn into the art.

Stories are structured as books with chapters rather than as an endless chat. The plot, your relationships and the consequences of earlier choices carry over from one chapter to the next, so a decision in chapter one still matters in chapter five. That makes it a closer fit for people who want a story with a beginning, middle and end than for people who want to text a character about their day.

You can create a book from a single prompt ("enemies-to-lovers at a vampire academy", "arranged marriage to the rival prince") and the app generates the setting, cast and opening chapter. You can also describe characters in words and have their appearance generated, then dress them in different outfits. Finished books can be published for other players, and authors earn in-game currency whenever someone plays their story.

Genres include romance and otome, dark romance, fantasy and isekai, reality TV drama, mystery and sci-fi, but any premise you type will work. The interface is in English, and stories can be created and played in any language.

The app is free to download and play. It uses an in-game currency called Essence to cover AI costs; Essence can be earned for free (daily claims, watching ads, referrals, events, royalties from your published stories) or bought optionally. There are no subscriptions, no energy timers and no gems needed to unlock premium choices.

Euphoria is often compared to Choices and Episode (pre-written branching stories), to Character.AI, Chai and Talkie (open-ended character chat), and to AI Dungeon (text-only AI adventures). It sits between those categories: the freedom of AI chat, with the illustrated visual-novel presentation and chapter structure of a story app.
