FingerWag is an iPhone text message filter that helps reduce spam texts, scam- like messages, political texts, fundraising texts, campaign outreach, polls, surveys, and repeated unknown-sender patterns.

It works with Apple’s built-in SMS filtering system and lets users create private rules for phrases and message patterns they do not want in their main inbox. Filtering happens on the iPhone, with no account required, no message uploads, and no cross-site tracking.

FingerWag can be used for general spam text filtering, political campaign texts, fundraising messages, scam-like links, and custom phrases that keep showing up from different numbers.

FingerWag is not a legal opt-out service and does not remove a phone number from campaign databases or sender lists. It gives iPhone users a private filtering layer they control.
