Many forums and blogs don't have the capacity to store images on their own servers. Instead, posters are required to use a third-party host to share images. Many free image hosts exist, such as imagevenue, imagebam, and imageshack to serve the purposes of sharing images.

It's not discontinued. I don't know why (didn't go much into details) the addon stopped updating in Firefox addon repository, but the author does release the updated hosts file on the addon's website https://imagehostgrabber.com/hostf.html , so it can be updated manually. The problem is once you have updated it, the addon becomes "unsigned" and Firefox disables it. So in order to use the updates you have to use either Firefox Nightly or Firefox Developer Edition. More on that here: https://support.mozilla.org/t5/Problems-with-add-ons-plugins-or/Add-on-signing-in-Firefox/ta-p/30262
Thank you for the comment, but please note it is not necessary to use ESR, Nightly, or Developer editions. A few quick setting changes will allow the add on to install and work for V46 to V56.
Please visit our site for the instructions on doing so. https://imagehostgrabber.com , instructions are located in our forum.
Note: - MOZILLA < - is the one who is forcing add ons out of their browser. V57 will only use their "new" format of "Web Extensions."

Thanks.
The current website for the software and the needed host data is:
https://imagehostgrabber.com
The current version is 1.7.0.4a.
Mozilla no longer allows "add ons" to be signed and updated to on the Addons Mozilla Site, due to their push to force to Web Extensions.
The software will work in ALL CURRENT RELEASES of FIREFOX! Including V53, and through V56. V57 will discontinue support for traditional add ons. But other versions of the FF browsers such as PaleMoon, cyberfox, pcxfox, SeaMonkey and TorBrowser all will work with the add on.
See our site for information on how to install. A couple of quick edits and it installs and works fine.
