What is FlightFinder?

FlightFinder is an aviation-safety data platform. It consolidates accident and incident records that are otherwise scattered across national investigation bodies — NTSB, ATSB, MAK, CADORS, EASA, FAA and others — into one searchable corpus, and attaches that corpus to the things travellers and researchers actually look up: a flight number, an aircraft type, an airline, an airport, a route.

The database currently holds 282,990 occurrences from 128 official sources spanning 1902 to the present, 164,019 accident narratives, 240,558 NASA ASRS incident reports, 7,219 FAA and EASA airworthiness directives, 5,988 NTSB safety recommendations and a 445,528-row aircraft registry. Derived datasets cover wildlife strikes, laser and drone events, runway incursions, on-time performance and fleet age.

Safety scores show the arithmetic behind them instead of a star rating, and every record links back to the investigating authority's own report. The site is free to use; a Pro tier adds saved watches, alerts and a data API. Native iOS and Android apps ship the same data.
