What is Folder Actions for Windows?

Folder Actions for Windows will enable you to perform actions on files immediately after they were dropped in a folder. The following actions are available: show a new file alert, copy or move files, convert image files, convert audio files, convert video files, compress or decompress files, perform user-defined action. User-defined action is the most powerful feature. It will allow you to implement virtually any file processing using Windows batch (.bat) files. For example, it is possible to convert PDF to JPG using Ghostscript etc.

There are 2 or 3 similar shareware programs on the market. Folder Actions for Windows has built in functions to process image/audio/video/archive files. It is free for home and educational use, registration is required for commercial use only.
