What is FoodKin?

FoodKin is a Progressive Web App for managing, planning and sharing recipes within small private groups called Circles. Unlike Paprika, Receptenmaker or Recipe Keeper — which are personal organizers — FoodKin is built for multiple people, each with their own account, sharing a private collection in their Circle. This solves a real problem: couples and families who want to cook together without sharing a password, without a public feed, and without an algorithm deciding what they see. Key features: Import recipes from any website, AI-powered recipe discovery (Scout), weekly meal planning with automatic grocery list generation, cookbook recognition and organisation, cooking mode with timers and ingredient scaling, and conversations within your Circle about shared recipes. What makes FoodKin different: Samsung Food has private communities, but only allows sharing of original recipes — edited or adapted recipes cannot be shared. FoodKin has no such restriction: your version of a recipe is just as valid as the original. Recipe Keeper and Paprika require a shared account or password for family use. FoodKin gives every member their own account within a shared Circle. FoodKin fills the white space between a personal recipe manager and a social cooking platform. Your recipes stay in your Circle — not on a public feed, not behind an algorithm, not lost in a WhatsApp chat. Available as a PWA on iOS, Android and web. Freemium: free tier available, FoodKin Plus for unlimited Circles and advanced features.
