What is GeoTag Photos?
GeoTag Photos is a web-based tool for adding, replacing, and verifying GPS metadata in photos. It can read existing EXIF location data, apply shared or per-file coordinates, choose a location on a map, search for an address, or accept latitude and longitude entered manually. Users can also edit title, description, keywords, author, and copyright fields, then export tagged copies individually or as a ZIP archive. The core image-processing pipeline runs locally in the browser, so original image files are not uploaded to GeoTag Photos servers. The Free plan supports up to 5 images per batch and 10 exported images per day. Pro adds 50-image batches, CSV coordinate imports, verification reports, image resizing, watermarks, JPEG/WebP conversion, saved locations, and no daily export cap. JPEG provides the most reliable EXIF GPS compatibility; PNG and WebP support depends on the target viewer or platform.
