I tested Grok Bot and I like the idea of giving an AI a task and letting it actually work across different apps instead of just telling me what to do. Running tasks in the cloud is also very convenient. What I’m less convinced about so far is reliability. Interesting concept, but for me the real test is whether it can repeat the same workflow consistently without needing supervision.

What is Grok Bot?

Grok Bot is an AI agent platform from xAI that lets users create autonomous AI teammates capable of completing multi-step tasks across apps, websites, and online services. Bots operate through a cloud computer environment, can sign in to existing tools and interact with them through their interfaces, including services without dedicated APIs or MCP integrations. Tasks continue running in the cloud even when the user's computer is offline.

Users can assign work to Bots through conversations on desktop or iOS, teach them processes by having them observe a task being completed, and save those processes as reusable routines. Bots retain context and preferences over time, can work simultaneously on separate tasks, communicate with other Bots, share project context, and coordinate work through shared threads or group chats. Example uses include inbox and CRM management, research, sales outreach, reporting, expense processing, recruiting, marketing tasks, and software bug reproduction.
