It's smooth on Linux. It'simple, but super handy to have on the side when using other apps. E.g., while using Xmind for developing something elaborate, I can switch over to Heimer just to shuffle a few ideas around. Scapple is great for this, but I'm using Linux and Scapple is not super smooth when using Crossover/Wine. I downloaded the appimage on KDE neon--wish I did so sooner.

I think this is very crucial for any mind mapping app. It even has intuitive features that are not easily accessible through other more sophisticated alternatives such as Freeplane and Xmind.
Quite a basic program - but perfect to draw a simple diagram e.g. an organizational chart within a minute.
It is a simple, but very good basic too for mind-mapping. To really shine as "basic, but all-you-need package", it lacks ability to save items as templates (or ability to tag them) and some sort of grouping mechanic.
