Honesty is NOT the go-to policy for everyone and in all settings. Focusing on feelings or self-interest may trump sincerity in the preservation of a relationship. And that's fine. Because truth is not necessarily what we need, at least not all the time.

But in those cases where it's actually the most important driver of our interrogation, where do we get it? To whom do we ask sincere feedback about things that we know our community will have a hard time answering in a manner that's not tainted by their past or future relationship with us? Where do we turn to get opinions, whose content is not influenced by the respondents' vested interests (getting something from us, from observing third-parties...)? Where can we expose ourselves without fear of being judged, criticized, or shamed, by people who are dear to us?

Honswer was created to fill this need. To provide a platform between people looking for unbiased feedback and anonymous users willing to provide it.
